About Me

My name is Jasper. I do go by Kat as a nickname. I am a transgender (he/they) artist stationed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1998. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, I'm pretty sure I was creating art before I was walking or talking!

I am currently 25 years old and have been in school for Interactive Design and Technology since August of 2021. In this course, I have developed a love for graphic design. As someone who has painted and drawn in pencil their whole life, I was always a little skeptical of any sort of digital art. This course has shown me differently and now I specialize in graphic design and am beginning to dabble in digital art of various types. Now I can create logos, website graphics, websites and wireframes, and am currently working on learning how to create digital art to create Twitch graphics for streamers.

My goal in the future is to have at least one very successful logo, for graphic design. For digital art, I want to create a twitch icon and emojis for a popular streamer. Finally for my fine art, I'd love to create a mural for my city somewhere, even if it's small!

graphic design, fine art, and am starting out
in digital design.

Digital Art

I am well acquainted with Adobe Illustrator. I love creating vector graphics of any kind. I created many logos in my class and there are examples of them further down the page. I am also slowly learning Clip Studio Paint in order to do the side gigs I want, such as the Twitch Icons and Emojis, and perhaps creating books. When I have examples of my Clip Studio Art, I will post those!

Graphic Design

In my classes, I learned nearly all of the Adobe products. I specialize in both Illustrator and InDesign, and know a tiny bit about Premier Pro but prefer to stay away from it when possible (my current computer doesn't like it very much). At my print job, we used inDesign religiously, creating anything from forms, layouts, and more. I've also created website design, wireframes, and my resume too!

Fine Art

Fine Art is my personal preference and favorite hobby. I have drawn with graphite most of my life, and have recently started seriously painting with oils and acrylics. I also do a bit of ink art. Basically, I have experience a bit everywhere. I have examples below!
